A suburb of the Sunshine Coastal Area, Twin Waters of Queensland Australia has something for every vacationer and visitor. The district is big on welcoming tourists for their nightlife, shopping and many water activities. There are several all inclusive resorts so that friend or families don’t have to roam far unless they want to see some of the sights or maybe visit a museum that is outside of the realm of the all inclusive resort.
Golfers love the scenic and beautiful area that has several different golf coast with the largest being the Mount Coolum Golf Club. This golf course offers a monthly metal competition that is normally held on the first Saturday of the month and there are various prizes going to the winner. This is an 18 hole, par 72 championship course and is not for those who simply ‘dabble’ in the sport. There are several other, smaller, yet still as beautiful golf courses near the Sunshine Coast, the Sunshine Coast Golf, Golf Australia and Golf Qld.
There are long stretches of white sandy beaches and various water sports to occupy a person’s time if golf is not their thing.
The Mooloolaba beach is one of the best beaches around. For water sports there are a few like deep sea fishing, wind surfing, boogie boarding or snorkeling. And for those who like to simply relax on the shores and read or soak up the sun’s hot rays, there are hundreds of lounge chairs and umbrellas.
In addition, in the Mooloolaba area is the home of the famous Australia Zoo which is the late Croc Hunter’s stomping grounds and now his daughter Bindi has taken over as the reigning queen of the animals. One can literally play, feed and wonder around with the animals.
The Big Kart Track provided a great adrenalin rush with its hairpin turns, wild bends and navigating the chicanes through the small roadways for a fun afternoon. This aria is also known for its restaurants, different shops and perhaps best of all, its architectural structures to be admired and some to visit while on holiday out this way. A family would also enjoy a trip to Aussie World amusement park with over 30 games and rides to entertain and thrill even the youngest of guests.
While vacationing in the Waters of Twin area, another great place to visit would be the Cotton Tree area which is one of the best kept secrets of the district. This region is directly between the ocean and the river opening and each Sunday morning there is a large open-air market with fresh produce, handicrafts and all types of different wares. Thousands of locals and tourists come to this outdoor market each weekend to experience a little of Australia in addition to it being a much sought after destination for holiday travelers.
One of the best places to sightsee in Queensland is the Big Pineapple which is one of the major iconic symbols of the region of the Sunshine Coastal area for many, many years. The plantation train travels with it’s tourists throughout the farm to see all the sights and learn all there is to learn about pineapples.
A view from a nice drive along Blackall Range is what a lot of the tourists want to come to the Twin Waters region for. It is one of the most beautiful in the land. There are also stops along the way for Flaxton which gives visitors examples of the early ‘Queenslanders’ and a look at their solidly made early timber houses with lots of character and large verandas. The ridge sits pretty high and it not far so for a nice day trip, vacationers can enjoy the view and not have to travel far from their hotel or resort.
